Sometimes There’s Just Nothing to Say

July 20, 2012 by Sarah Plum(itallo) 4 Comments

I was up late last night working, since our days have been consumed by potty-training our little guy, and as I laid down in bed to go to sleep, I checked my “Breaking News” app as I always do — just one last time. It was then that the news about the mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado broke, and I just laid there, horrified.
Needless to say, I didn’t even take a brief nap until about 7:30 this morning. I’ve been glued to the coverage. I’m not sure why — I don’t live in Colorado or have any family in Colorado. It’s just one of those things that touches you beyond belief and shakes you to your core.
I’ll be back tomorrow with the promised freebie for giveaway entrants, and some progress updates. For now, I hug my husband and my little guy a little tighter and send positive and healing thoughts to the Aurora community and all of those touched by this unspeakable tragedy.

I felt the same thing when I heard the news. My heart just broke for everyone involved & their families. It makes you want to hold your loved ones tighter.

So sad. My in-laws live in Littleton which is 15 miles or so from there. Thank God everyone is ok. My heart goes out to the families and the community.

I am your newest follower. I LOVE your ruby slippers too. Thanks for following my blog and entering my birthday giveaway:)

I grew up in Pueblo, Colorado and I have relatives that live in Aurora. My heart goes out to those families that lost loved ones. It is crazy to think how many times I have been standing in a movie theatre and the "what if's" keeps going through my mind. Have a blessed day Mrs. Plum.

Things are pretty somber here in Colorado. I live just a little south of Aurora in Parker, CO, and I think the whole state is in shock and trying to process everything. We've had a tough year here in Colorado with all the fires and now the mass murder. My heart hurts too for the ones who have been effected the most. Please keep sending those thoughts and prayers this way . . .
